Halliday's Top 10 Best Value Winery for 2021
By Alex Head /I am thrilled to share our news. Head Wines has been recognised as a "Top 10 Best Value Winery" in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion Awards!
Each year, James Halliday and his tasting panel spend hours reviewing thousands of Australian wines, winemakers and wineries. Using a strict set of criteria per category, they pick the best of our nation's best. The competition is tough with so many great winemakers out there making stellar wines.
Each year, James Halliday and his tasting panel spend hours reviewing thousands of Australian wines, winemakers and wineries. Using a strict set of criteria per category, they pick the best of our nation's best. The competition is tough with so many great winemakers out there making stellar wines.
In this category, wineries are judged by the number of rosettes awarded for their wines, by the value of their wine — where the quality of the wine exceeds the price of the wine — and by other factors, such as viniculture. What a buzz to be placed. And what a buzz to be told that an amazing 9 of the dozen wines we presented earned 95 to 97 points!
Our 9 wines judged by the Halliday Wine Companion Awards team to be exceptional or outstanding:
Shiraz, Menglers Hill – 97 points
